President George W. Bush
By Robert Alexander Anderson
Collection, The Yale Club, New York.

he World of Portrait

Painting has invited the

distinguished American portrait

artist Robert Alexander Anderson

to share his thoughts and views

on his profession in an occasional

series of articles. Recently, Mr.

Anderson was invited by

President George W. Bush to

paint the President's portrait for

the Yale Club in New York. We've

asked the artist to share this

experience (which included visits to the White House and to the President's ranch in Crawford,

Texas). That very interesting account will appear here shortly.
