e
are honored to introduce a new contributor to The World
of Portrait Painting. He is Paul Newton of Sydney, Australia.
Paul is widely recognized as one of the leading portrait artists
in his native country, but we can also say that he is rapidly
becoming a leading figure in American portraiture as well.
You can see a portfolio of Pauls outstanding work, and
read more about him at www.paulnewton.com.au.
A brief summary of Pauls career appears below.
Weve asked Paul to share some of his recent experiences
painting distinguished notables on both sides of the ocean,
giving us glimpses as he does so of the differences that prevail
for portrait artists between his native land and America.
