"Here is a perfect example of a typical southern portrayal
of a young boy in the 1960's. Barefoot, he is dressed in
velvet 'Little Lord Fauntleroy' attire and formally positioned
on a beautiful antique chair. This subject lived in Atlanta,
Georgia and the chair and its tapestry had familial sentiment.
The whole of the parts of this painting made it a symbolic
and meaningful portrait. Not only is everything important
in its message but I think it makes for a very interesting
background with a solid composition. This was commissioned
by this young model's grandmother." A.B. |
